Back to Blake's creativity. We always go out for a nice dinner on our anniversary: Northwood Inn, Green Room Grille, Diamondback's...you get the idea.
Since we couldn't go out (Blake was quite fearful of eating out since he had to elevate his leg and it was pretty uncomfortable to do in a restaurant), Blake had a chef come to our house! WOW! I was impressed!
Chef Jacob Butler
The Menu
Cream Of Brie And Tart Apple Soup
garnished with julienne of tart apple and toasted almonds
Wilted Mesclun Greens
with pancetta-cherry vinaigrette & pine nut crusted chevre. warm salad of spring mix garnished with crispy pancetta, dried cherries, and goat cheese
Wild Mushroom Stuffed Angus Tenderloin
with cabernet demi. served with yukon gold potato puree and sauteed asparagus
And, at the end of the night, my kitchen looked like this...incredible!
It was SO delicious, and I felt SO special having our very own chef! We're thinking this might be a fun tradition to start!
